Dingle from The Conor Pass

Dingle from The Conor Pass

The Conor Pass

August 27, 2017

Just back from a trip around the Republic of Cork and the Kingdom of Kerry. So many images to work through...I thought I'd start at the end.

This was my last view of Dingle as we traveled over The Conor Pass on our way back to Dublin. Seems fitting that the fog was rolling in, as another summer holiday is consigned to memory.

The weather also provided another surprise for me; I had never seen Lough Doon before. It's only a short little hike up the mountain from the roadside. Well worth the brief stop...it's a haunting, ancient place. I can only imagine what dark forces our ancient ancestors must have though this place possessed...I know I certainly felt them too.
