The rising Flower Moon aligning with Chesterfield Avenue

May’s full moon is known as the Flower Moon, as it’s this time of year that flowers tend to bloom.

Other similarly seasonal names for May's full moon are Corn Planting Moon, Mother's Moon, and Milk Moon, from the Old English Rimilcemona which means Month of Three Milkings, when cows were milked three times a day. It looked like a Grapefruit Moon to me.

Whatever it’s name, it was a beautiful sight.
